Proxima Test Drive

You woke up in a bright white room, disoriented and with a pain in your neck. The mirror in the room showed you a bruise, the injection site of the chip that will control your life while you're here. You have everything on you that you remember having before waking up here and you're looking to find out what's going on. The wall flickers like a screen, showing you your captors. After a brief and highly unhelpful conversation, you're let go, told to find your own way and adhere to the rules -- what little rules there are. You're trapped here on this island, under this dome, and you're about to know what it feels like to be someone's lab rat. Possible Scenarios: ΦDowntown - Whether it's the more pristine location of the City Center or the seedier South Side, your character is taking this opportunity to look around and try to make a little more sense of where they are. Do they stop in at a cafe? Take advantage of one of the 'Try one FREE' samples some stores have out for new arrivals? Or maybe they're going to talk to someone to see if they can fill them in on this place a little more. Anything goes. ΦLet's go to the beach - The Eastern Tropics always welcomes new members, hosting parties that go long into the night. Maybe your character feels like taking advantage of the surf, or maybe they just really like hot dogs. Jump in to that volleyball game over there, they can always use more players. Anything goes. ΦDr. Feelgood - Your character has arrived just in time for an experiment. Are their emotions wonky? Maybe they grew a tail or turned bright green. Or maybe everything just feels really, really good. It could be that it's not your character being affected, but someone else's and your character is completely in the dark about it and just trying to help. Anything goes. ΦCall Me - It could be your character prefers to try to do some digging or wants to meet people over the safety of their devices instead of face to face. ΦBlind Date - The scientists have set up a nice, romantic evening for you and an unexpected partner. A table with candles lit, a three course meal, and plenty of romantic music. There's no escaping, so you may as well take the time to get to know one another. ΦWild thing card - Have something specific in mind? Want to do something not listed? Go nuts. Mi meme et su meme. What do you have to do? Just pick a scenario and go wild. Please be sure to warn in your headers for any questionable or triggery content. It might be helpful to make a note as well if you're open to smutty scenarios or not, along with your preferences. As Proxima is an 18+ game, the likelihood of sexual scenarios happening is pretty high, so please remember to respect the preferences of your fellow players/potential players, and to warn as needed.

Huh. Never seen one like that before.

[Since he's seen some by now, through games or other people's memories. There was that one game with that mom and her son flying giant robots. But. Those were different than the ones he's currently seeing so it's not like he's got much to go on.

Glancing back at the woman, he shrugged, before arching a brow.]

Here, here. Not the whole kidnapping by a strange lot bit, at least, so I've that in my favor.

[It took a moment, before her eyes lit up. Oh, yes... yes, she recognized those freckles. She leaned forward as she did, her lips curled in a nasty little grin.] They seem to like teasing us with the though that this place is actually some sort of normal town. It's foolish.

Ah... been a kidnap victim too, have we Ron? [Her grin widened.] I wonder... it took me a second to recognize you, but do you remember me?

[Thaaat makes him take a step back and frown at the woman slightly. At least, luckily, he's much better at not scowling at people given the closeness some of the games and other events forced on them, but that doesn't mean he cares for complete strangers doing that like they know him.] S'no normal place I'd seen.

[But then she says his name and his brows furrow. Again, it's not a name he uses often and certainly not one he remembers sharing to anyone outside of Sapphire. And while he had all of his memories-- even if he hadn't taken them quite yet--this woman was no where in them.] Poor idea to ask a former amnesiac what they're supposed to remember, don't ya think?

Yes, yes... [She giggled and leaned back, reaching over her head to stretch, groaning as she did. Her eyes opened in thin little slits to regard him.] But if you've had your share of kidnappings like this? You should hopefully be used to people not remembering you or remembering you.

It happened enough to me in the past.

Not really. The whole place was just a bunch of people who didn't remember anything. Was here for half of it and no one knew who I was. [So he shrugs, making a face.] Plenty of people had folk like that, not me though. Was better that way anyway.

[Because he wouldn't ask for any of his friends or family to be put in a place that liked to torture and kill them every so often.]

... odd. [She frowned for a moment. That sounded disturbing and strange. Amat had always been so jealous and zealous of protecting memories.] I'm guessing you weren't kidnapped to an island run by a crazed sex goddess?

[A sigh] No, I think I know the answer.
