The sun is shining and the weather is nice and toasty. Overly toasty one might argue, even. It's a great day to be laying around at the beach, so it's a good thing that that's where you've found yourself today, whether you'd made plans to be there or not. Bathing suit and sunscreen ready, you're going to get your tanning time on.

But with heat comes the expected side effects for a place like Proxima Gamma. While the cool water can sometimes slow the effects, the heated beaches and freshly popped flowers seem to have made getting close to someone else just seem like a really great idea. You can try to fight off the side effects much as you want, but the scientists like to believe everyone has a breaking point.

[ THE NEXT HOUR. Drama queen. Still, the response is enough to make her look that much more apologetic, shifting so she's sitting up a bit more proper and brushing the sand from the various crevices it's found its way into. ]

[ WELP. At least she tripped on someone who looks A++ without a shirt, because dayum, son. She's sure she could blame the heat for the at least somewhat appreciative stare she's got going on.

I'd offer to get you some water, but it seems like this place is completely void of anywhere to purchase even the most basic of necessities. I've been hunting for what feels like hours.

While she talks, he continues to stare at her, gaze unwavering. There's no effort to hide that he's openly admiring her, eyes traveling down her form. For all that he's a horny bastard, even Dante's noticing he's feeling a bit more amorous than normal. But he blames the bikinis and general nakedness going on all around him.]

Oh, yeah. Apparently we experimentees don't need water. Because heat stroke doesn't exist or anything. [Even as a Nephilim, he's a tad worried. He's more hardy than the humans, but he can overheat just like the rest of them. It just takes longer.] Unless they're experimenting to see how fucking hilarious it'd be to see a bunch of people collapsed from heat exhaustion, these scientists are morons.

[ She scrunched her nose at the thought, going to rest more comfortably in her seat on the sand rather than standing to move right away. She hadn't thought about them using a lack of provisions as a way to possibly torture them and get some reaction. It had always just been about the sex with Atia. ]

That's a possibility. They could have some kind of small signal in the chips to keep us hydrated, though. They seem to have some kind of advanced medical system here, it wouldn't surprise me.

[There's a very light emphasis on thirsty, one he didn't even really intend until it slipped from his mouth. The heat is doing things to his head, he figures, though the pretty girl sitting nearby isn't helping.]

[ A fresh from Hogwarts Hermione may have been more likely to miss that sort of emphasis, but she'd had her education enough on Atia, and picked up on the subtleties over time. It was enough that, with the added effects of the heat guiding her reactions, there was the slightest smile that twitched at her lips.

Whether she was purposefully shifting in her position on the sand so that she was leaning in a teasing amount toward him wasn't gonna be made at all clear, though. Flirting wasn't really something she was mentally ready to actively process anyway. ]

A few hours, at least. I guess I feel a little thirsty, yeah.

Then I guess that rules that out. Goody. Heat stroke, here we come.

[He doesn't look at all fazed by it, though. Honestly, he couldn't care less about it, as far as his self was concerned. It'd take awhile for him to hit that point. Case in point, he leans back on his towel and rests his head on crossed arms, keeping his eyes on Hermione.]

So that leaves us with two options: search high and low for water, or just soak up some sun and... kill some time.
