Chloe wasn't about to let her. The fingers on the beads slowed their motion and roll, working them only enough to keep her right at the edge, holding still when necessary. She had every intention of keeping this up until Alkaid was little more than an unconscious mess, after all. And that errant thought of hers? Well... she wasn't inclined to let her have that today.
