Proxima Test Drive

You woke up in a bright white room, disoriented and with a pain in your neck. The mirror in the room showed you a bruise, the injection site of the chip that will control your life while you're here. You have everything on you that you remember having before waking up here and you're looking to find out what's going on. The wall flickers like a screen, showing you your captors. After a brief and highly unhelpful conversation, you're let go, told to find your own way and adhere to the rules -- what little rules there are. You're trapped here on this island, under this dome, and you're about to know what it feels like to be someone's lab rat. Possible Scenarios: ΦDowntown - Whether it's the more pristine location of the City Center or the seedier South Side, your character is taking this opportunity to look around and try to make a little more sense of where they are. Do they stop in at a cafe? Take advantage of one of the 'Try one FREE' samples some stores have out for new arrivals? Or maybe they're going to talk to someone to see if they can fill them in on this place a little more. Anything goes. ΦLet's go to the beach - The Eastern Tropics always welcomes new members, hosting parties that go long into the night. Maybe your character feels like taking advantage of the surf, or maybe they just really like hot dogs. Jump in to that volleyball game over there, they can always use more players. Anything goes. ΦDr. Feelgood - Your character has arrived just in time for an experiment. Are their emotions wonky? Maybe they grew a tail or turned bright green. Or maybe everything just feels really, really good. It could be that it's not your character being affected, but someone else's and your character is completely in the dark about it and just trying to help. Anything goes. ΦCall Me - It could be your character prefers to try to do some digging or wants to meet people over the safety of their devices instead of face to face. ΦBlind Date - The scientists have set up a nice, romantic evening for you and an unexpected partner. A table with candles lit, a three course meal, and plenty of romantic music. There's no escaping, so you may as well take the time to get to know one another. ΦWild thing card - Have something specific in mind? Want to do something not listed? Go nuts. Mi meme et su meme. What do you have to do? Just pick a scenario and go wild. Please be sure to warn in your headers for any questionable or triggery content. It might be helpful to make a note as well if you're open to smutty scenarios or not, along with your preferences. As Proxima is an 18+ game, the likelihood of sexual scenarios happening is pretty high, so please remember to respect the preferences of your fellow players/potential players, and to warn as needed.

[ The issue with not taking memories you probably should have months ago, is you don't really know what to expect of the person suddenly before you. He'd always imagined he'd take them before going home, because he knew if he took them prior he'd want to go right away. But there were important things out there, too, so he hadn't. It makes reading her difficult, though, taking in the changes in appearance and physical alterations an impossibility because he doesn't know what should be there or what shouldn't.

And it's weirder, still, when you're used to the closeness of an entirely different group of people because a part of you is like hold her and don't let go but you almost wonder if that's wrong or not allowed, so he tries to swallow it back as he forces his hands into the pockets of cargo pants. Instead he quirks an amused sort of grin. ]

Pretty good at figuring out what's not a dream or is now, actually, dreams are way weirder. [And more likely to kill you.] S'too nice to be any dream like that.

[ The smile turns a little sad at the statement, her forehead wrinkling a little as the deciphers the statement. It was enough to confirm her suspicions of him having been in another world, but certainly it didn't sound like something that would come out of a place like Atia. She knew it was unlikely he'd ever remember that island, but seeing him come with memories from another world was still somehow unexpected to her. Why now with two new universes under her belt she'd be shocked by all this was beyond her, but something in her still hadn't thought of it as a possibility.

Reaching up with a slightly hesitant hand in case he pulled away from her touch, she went to brush some imaginary dirt off the shoulder of his uniform, if only to get to feel him solidly underneath her touch and confirm that this wasn't a dream for herself. ]

I take it you went some place other than home as well before here? It seems to be a common thing in this world.
