Test Drive Meme #1

The sun is shining and the weather is nice and toasty. Overly toasty one might argue, even. It's a great day to be laying around at the beach, so it's a good thing that that's where you've found yourself today, whether you'd made plans to be there or not. Bathing suit and sunscreen ready, you're going to get your tanning time on.
But with heat comes the expected side effects for a place like Proxima Gamma. While the cool water can sometimes slow the effects, the heated beaches and freshly popped flowers seem to have made getting close to someone else just seem like a really great idea. You can try to fight off the side effects much as you want, but the scientists like to believe everyone has a breaking point.
Nana | Original Character
[Her neck still hurt a bit, from the injection of the chip. It reminded her far too much of the barcode branded just below it. Her home prided itself on advancements, just as this place seemed to, but the motives of her people were more clear to her than this place. Suddenly sending her and others to the beach was a bit perplexing, but it was still beautiful and warm out.]
Do all beaches look like this?
[She has a habit of thinking aloud, taking in the sights around her as she does. Her bathing suit was a bit revealing, much to her embarrassment, but there was nothing to really be done about it other than tolerate it. She had no other means to cover herself than the towel she currently sat upon.
Nana's auburn hair was pulled back from her face into a messy bun. All the better to keep it from sticking to the back of her neck in this heat. Someone who might want to approach her would find her sitting on her beach blanket, drawing shapes in the sand with her fingers. She might not have information that would be helpful to other newcomers like herself but at least they wouldn't be alone.]
Scenario B
[Nana stood chest deep in the water, attempting to cool off. She wasn't a fantastic swimmer but at least she could enjoy it this much. She leans back, stretching herself out to float as she stares up at the sky and the sun that blared down at her.]
Is it always this hot?
[She mumbles to herself, closing her eyes as she relaxes. She is distantly aware that perhaps she should pay attention to where she is floating, to avoid bumping into someone. All the same it was comfortable in the water, even if it also made her feel just as hot as the sun did. The heat was lulling her into a relaxed state.]
[[ooc: Both options have a potential for smut build up so have at it /o/ just let me know if that's where you wantit to go! Nana's info can be found here and if there's any questions just ask]]
a
It's nicer than some I've seen before, that's for sure. Heh... [ Zack gives her a grin. ] Is this your first time?
[ At the beach obviously. Not — well!!! You know. ]

[She read a lot of things in books. Sadly her world was similar to this one, though it didn't give her the amount of freedom she has right now. She isn't sure what to do about that or how to feel about it.]
It's very different here, than what I'm used to.
[She should feel nervous, wearing nothing but a bathing suit which showed more skin than she was comfortable showing, but it was warm out and the sun was certainly nice on her skin.]
What are they like where you're from?
have a dumb warden. thanks again <3 (also, A)
And Maker, don't get her started on what she was wearing.
Now she found herself awkwardly staring at Nana for a moment, wondering if she was actually speaking to her or just out loud to herself. After quick deliberation, she decided to play it safe and assumed she was speaking to her, rather than ignore her and risk insult.]
Perhaps they are here, but this is a bit different than what I ever saw back home.
NO PROBLEM <3 sob I need to find time to make more icons /stares at my icons....
This place was different.]
Oh? What was it like?
[Someone who's seen the outside world surely knows many things, right? Or at least that was the logic of a very sheltered person.]

[Talking about Highever makes her homesick, and she quickly decides to change the subject.]
Have you not been to a beach before?

[Her magic might break her fall? She doesn't know for sure...]
I haven't no. Ah... where I'm from was away from the water.
[And kept her tight under lock and key.]

[She raises an eyebrow.]
The joys of living inland, I take it?
