Test Drive Meme #2

You wake up in a closet. It's a nice enough one, clearly owned by someone with a large bedroom and too many clothes. There's a dim light on but no switch to make it brighter. As your eyes adjust and you come to the realization that this is probably not a dream, you notice you aren't alone. Locked in the closet with you is (at least) one other person who seems just as confused and disoriented as yourself.

On the door, you can both see a list with a possibly familiar title and a familiar set of rules; Seven Minutes In Heaven. The door will be locked for a probably very long seven minutes and it will not open no matter how much you try to force it. In the closet air is a hefty dose of aphrodisiacs that might be clouding your normal judgement. The longer you wait, the more you want to give in to the game.

Will they really let you out when the seven minutes are done? Or will the countdown start all over again until you consent? Only waiting will tell.

EDIT: Aphrodisiacs are OPTIONAL, not required. Also feel free to make your own scenarios, themes are merely for those wanting an idea.

All the hugs for poor Steve

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-15 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
[She slips the blade back into its sheath while he holsters his shield, something very familiar about all of this. There's a hint of surprise at the hug, earning a concerned crease to her brow. It shifts her focus from keeping it light to checking on his well-being. How long had he been here?

Arms wrap around his shoulders, raising herself up slightly to return the hug.]

But I'm here, so let's make the best of it.

[Her own way of reminding him he's not alone. There's no teasing to her tone, everything surprisingly soft and genuine. She pulls back a little so she can look at him, maintaining at least one point of contact in an attempt to be a little reassuring. It's not a strong suit - she's trying her best.]

Today. Figured I'd do a little sightseeing and try and learn what I can. Didn't expect to get such a warm welcome.

[She takes a moment as the look of concern continues to rest on her face.]

I'm guessing you didn't arrive today.

Guess the south side of any city's bound to have issues.

[It was a little bit of familiarity that he found strangely comforting. She doesn't look like she had to do more than a little jogging, and if she was up to nosing around the rest of the city, she was her usual self. It was a bit of a relief and her question had him letting out a long sigh, hand lifting to rub over his hair.]

A month, give or take. This isn't a rescue mission, is it...

[More a rhetorical question than anything. Not with that bruise on her neck and her seeming surprised to see him.]

[There was usually a bad part of any town - no matter how big. Bad people didn't care about the family down the street, just maintaining the cover and keeping the attention off of them. This place seems to have a little firmer of a grip on the area and is a hell of a lot more dangerous than most of the neighborhoods she'd wandered through.

With her mobility, she'd been able to evade more of the AI's blows - the ones that connected easy enough to ignore.]

Sorry, no such luck. Last thing I remember is talking to you and Sam in the cemetery and then I woke up in a white room with a puncture wound in my neck.

[A month trapped here, well that explains a few things.]

We should get out of the open.

I have a place in the city. We can go there and you can fill me in -- and vice versa.

[He had a feeling she'd be just as unsettled as he'd been about the experimentation going on here and that they were now unwilling test subjects. He'd, so far, been lucky to either have avoided any testing or to have been immune to what seemed to be being done, but he figured it was a matter of time and the sooner she was up to speed, the better.]

Think you can manage to get there without breaking anything else?
true_noir: (I prefer smirking smugly to smiling hone)

Hehe. Stealthy acrobatic girls for the win?

[personal profile] true_noir 2015-08-15 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
A girl after my own heart.

[Flipping and whipping up to vault onto the top floor, she landed with surprising lightness and looked down. Gauging the distance and making sure that Natasha had gotten just enough space in catching up, she reached out a hand. Frost glittered along her palm as she took the powers she'd been given by Thanatos. Beneath Black Widow, the air chilled considerably. Ice and frost saturated the stairs thickly, leaving wet, frozen and slick ground that even those robots wouldn't be able to follow on.

Unless they cared enough to go for the stairs in the locked building and make their way up that way, they'd have at least a breather. Sometimes? She almost forgave the gods of that wretched island for what they put her through. It did come in handy. About the time Natasha was catching up, she smiled wickedly and made her way to the roof, speaking over her shoulder.]

A little. They're like thugs and toughs back home. Just fewer places to stick a knife. Have to get creative.

Chloe kept the cloak draped over Alkaid's shoulders and started folding it around the two of them, clasping it around the red-head's neck so it would hang loosely on both shoulders and trap the heat within. Her lips brushed up against the earlobe and ran right up so that she barely had to breathe to talk. "I know. And I even know I'm a little unhinged, but now that you're being so good... I'll let you stop me with a word if it gets to something you really don't want."

She might have been trying to shift the two of them so they were near the little vents she could see in the walls, where she assumed the aphrodisiacs were being pumped out. Her hands began to wander, one choosing to run down Alkaid's arm while the other wrapped around her waist, pressing to the warrior's taut belly and squeezing in against her.

"Coconut," she whispered. "You know what I'm asking of you, I think, but if I touch you a way you really don't want, say it and I'll stop." Not that she expected she'd be hearing it much soon. And, if this meant Alkaid came after her? Well... she was looking forward to that.

Sounds like a plan.

[Better than anything she had in mind. She was good on the exploring front for right now, not really wanting to see what else was lurking around here. At least not until she had a little more info from him.

Best to do that where there weren't potential eyes and ears to ruin the reunion.]

Who me? Break something? I would never... [A beat as she levels a look at him.] As long as those things don't try to jump me again, there'll be no need to break anything.

[Although anyone in a white lab coat was fair game.]
mostlyred: (Default)

Absolutely

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-15 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[While she knew of a few other women capable of doing what she could back home, the idea that a stranger from another world could have the skills is a lot less surprising now than it might have been a few years ago. Alien invasions will open your eyes up pretty quickly.

And this girl seemed to be working her way up the list to Natasha's new favorite people here. The whole running from something trying to kill you was often a pretty good test of someone's character - not that she was in a position to be picky.

Any quips she might have had ready to retort are silenced at the display of power. Well, that's new.]

Neat trick. [Definitely making a mental note of that.] I miss the good old days where killing someone didn't require actually checking if they were human first.

[And while they've got some downtime...] You wouldn't happen to know anyone from Asgard, would you?
true_noir: (Interesting...)

[personal profile] true_noir 2015-08-15 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Her powers had decided limits. She was no Iceman, and Thanatos had never granted the kind of free reign she'd really wanted. Still, it was definitely something. The comment on the trick made her grin impishly and hold a hand up, a dagger of ice forming between her fingertips so that she could flick it as she spoke.]

What's the saying? If it bleeds, you can kill it. it's usually true, one way or another. Met a few well out of my league though.

[She blinked then. Asgard, why yes. That was a place she had heard of once, long ago.]

Someone who called himself Thor. Loud mouthed, angry blond fellow. Kind of a prick, but that wasn't here. Another life, another place.

The AIs are pretty much all over the city. The ones here are just... a little more aggressive than the rest. Try not to attack them on sight.

[A quiet little reprimand and a useful bit of information. If she'd only just started poking around, she might not know just how inundated their new residence was with AIs.]

I'm hoping you've already noticed the cameras. Another piece of advice? Don't mess around with them. From what I've seen, they're quick to respond and... well, the rest can wait.

[Mostly because Steve could just imagine how happy his teammate would be to learn of the other aspects of this place.]

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Great, just what she wanted to hear. It's probably for the best Tony's not here given the amount of technology. If she could get in trouble for poking something the wrong way? She didn't even want to think about how bad things could get for him.

She brushes off the little reprimand, used to it coming from him. At least this time he didn't manhandle her.

The mention of the cameras is one that takes priority. She'd definitely noticed and had already marked out the ones that would be easiest to access in an attempt to hack them.]

Well, this should be good.

[And there's nothing but sarcasm in her tone. She wasn't looking forward to the answer so the faster she could get that over with, the better.]

How much further is it?
americanclassic: (Profile - Smile 2)

[personal profile] americanclassic 2015-08-16 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Hey, that manhandling had involved him using his body to shield her from, you know, bullets.

Her impatience was almost a relief, knowing that as long as he could keep her occupied with what he knew and what he'd figured out, she wouldn't go and do anything stupid.

Probably.]

We'll have to hop on one of the trains. It's not a subway, but it's not a train-train. But they're fast and it'll save us walking for another hour or so.

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Details.

But, he's right in that respect. She's not about to jump in headfirst to something potentially life threatening when he already had answers. She could be reckless, but there was a time and a place for that.

An eyebrow arches at the description, having noticed them around on her exploration but she's not in the mood to try and clear it up.]

Whatever works. As long as it gets us from point A to point B, I'm not picky.

Come on.

[He moved to head off to one of the nearer stations, hoping they could get there and to his place with little to no trouble. But he wasn't holding his breath. This was Natasha, after all.]

I think there's open places near mine... if you feel like settling close.
mostlyred: (Default)

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Sir yes sir.

She follows close behind, vigilant eyes scanning rooftops and and down side streets. Someone else would very much like to keep out of trouble for the next 10 minutes or so. Maybe try to set a record while she was at it. Make it more than 24 hours without -

Yeah, probably not.

Smiling at him, she adds a little swing to her hips as she smirks at him.]

You wanna be able to keep an eye on me?

[She wouldn't be so cheeky about it once she knew all the details about this place.]

[He couldn't help it; he looked. With the things he'd heard about this place, the few things he'd seen, the idea of Natasha being here and what she could get up to crept into his head. His eyes flicked down to the sway of her hips before he forced them back up, staring straight ahead for a moment.]

Yes.

[Then the reality of that and what it might mean joined some of the other images and he felt his cheeks pink.]

I mean... let's just wait until we get to my place.

[She'd be lying if she didn't say making him blush was something she didn't enjoy. It reminded her that even with the super soldier serum, he was still human deep down. If nothing else, this could be a much needed vacation. Granted it's against their will and there's always a catch, but baby steps.]

Alright.

[Should he be concerned that she's not digging into that further right now? No. Not at all...]
mostlyred: (Default)

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Worst thing I've had to deal with flew. I'd prefer not to repeat it.

[Chitauri were a pain in the ass, although these AIs were working their way right up the list. There's a little chuckle at the flick of the ice dagger, something she'd prefer to never have to be on the receiving end of.

Although that's all chucked out the window at the mention of Thor. It has her stilling for a brief moment, head cocking slightly.]

That's him. Are you from one the other 9 realms he talked about? Maybe... [Oh what the hell was the name of the one with the Frost Giants?] Jotunheim?
americanclassic: (Look - 1)

[personal profile] americanclassic 2015-08-16 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, he was already suspicious, but he was also trying to just get them somewhere secure so he could debrief her. And maybe to make sure she stayed out of trouble for five minutes.]

Here.

[The station was elevated, but there were stairs that led up to it. His hand moved to hover behind the small of her back, a subtle way to guide her.]
mostlyred: (Default)

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh ye of little faith. She was more than capable of keeping out of trouble on her own... Mostly. Ok, maybe not but there have to be goals to work towards.

The hand at the small of her back isn't missed, not pushing it away or moving out of range.

When the train arrives, she's quick to slip on - hand automatically moving behind her to grab his arm and make sure they don't get separated.]

Tony would have a field day here...

[The words are more murmured to herself than to him, settling into the rhythm of the train as they begin to move.]
americanclassic: (Upper Body - Leaning 1)

[personal profile] americanclassic 2015-08-16 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[He didn't say anything about the grab, sort of used to Natasha just grabbing/pushing/steering/pretending to be engaged to him by now. It was losing the punch of surprise it had when she first did it.]

Tony would wind up in jail here. If he didn't kill himself trying to remove the chip.
mostlyred: (Default)

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Every day's an adventure with Natasha. Maintaining a point of contact with him, she lets her eyes wander around the train car.]

I'd bet he'd be successful. Since he has such an issue with failing. [And from the way he was so quick to say jail or worse, it would be a bad combo here. It was something to keep in mind with her own penchant for sticking her nose places it didn't belong.

Slipping an arm around him, she adjusts again to peer out the window and keep herself upright. Just, stand still Steve.]

[Woman, he was a free agent and if he wanted to move around, he'd gosh darn well mo-- fine. He'd stay put.]

The chips have defensive capabilities and can and will knock you out if you get too close, along with bringing the guards to you. If you're planning on testing your own will against them, don't.
mostlyred: (002)

[personal profile] mostlyred 2015-08-16 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Uh-huh. Sure, you're a free agent Steve. Whatever you need to tell yourself. Her arm was currently wrapped around his midsection as she made note of a few landmarks out the left side of the train, although that attention shoots right back up to him when he speaks.

Not good.]

Of course they would. Can't have anything easy and I wasn't. [Yet. She might be impulsive at times, but usually when someone went through the trouble of kidnapping and drugging you they didn't tend to take kindly to people running off or trying to removing tracking chips.]

[He totally was, Nat. He was a big boy and had the big boy pants on to prove it.

Still, privacy or not, he wanted to make sure she understood just how serious it was.]

I mean it, Nat. I'll explain it in full, but just... don't play around with them.
