Test Drive Meme #2

You wake up in a closet. It's a nice enough one, clearly owned by someone with a large bedroom and too many clothes. There's a dim light on but no switch to make it brighter. As your eyes adjust and you come to the realization that this is probably not a dream, you notice you aren't alone. Locked in the closet with you is (at least) one other person who seems just as confused and disoriented as yourself.

On the door, you can both see a list with a possibly familiar title and a familiar set of rules; Seven Minutes In Heaven. The door will be locked for a probably very long seven minutes and it will not open no matter how much you try to force it. In the closet air is a hefty dose of aphrodisiacs that might be clouding your normal judgement. The longer you wait, the more you want to give in to the game.

Will they really let you out when the seven minutes are done? Or will the countdown start all over again until you consent? Only waiting will tell.

EDIT: Aphrodisiacs are OPTIONAL, not required. Also feel free to make your own scenarios, themes are merely for those wanting an idea.

I don't know what I am doing here, do I even go here?!?!?! Maybe, maybe not.

Now Percival is accustomed to sleeping in less than a comfortable bed. He is a Knight of Camelot after all, however a closet? That is a shade of something he has never seen before. First off, he does not even know what a closet is, second, it is a bit cramped. He had no choice but to shift stiff muscles and rise to his feet, there was no stretch room for a man of his size after all.

The sign was the next strange thing, what did the words on it mean? It was certainly not a phrase one heard in Camelot and it confused the Knight. He stood there, he looked at the sign. He looked all around him. Then he began to feel around and attempt to find a way out.

"Strange...." It was all very, very strange.

First there was the sound of clinking metal. That got Orihime's attention first as she slowly came back to her senses. Something was clinking. A machine?

A robot?!

No, not a robot, she chided herself, wincing as she pushed herself groggily up to her feet. Just because this place was filled with robots didn't automatically mean they were going to be at the root of every problem. More's the pity. She grabbed a fistful of cloth, pushing aside a pair of thick winter coats, only to find herself face to face, openly staring, at a knight.

A knight.

A real knight.

What else could he be? He wore the armor, the tabard, and there was definitely a noble sort of air to the way he held himself. She blinked, taken aback, and for a long while she said nothing. Then she straightened, hands drifting back to her sides. 'Strange,' he'd said. She couldn't agree more. What should she say? What would be the best way of eliminating the surprise and discomfort of their unexpected meeting?

"...Which way to the beach? Ha ha!"

Well, she thought it was funny, anyway.

That his state of confusion had clouded his senses was proven when Percival pulled up tight at her voice. How had he not noticed that there was someone in here with him. Percival was careful when he moved this time. Aware that his size made this a small space for him, it certainly did her no favors either he was sure.

She sounded as if she was joking and as his eyes lit upon the chestnut haired beauty his head titled. Percival looked at her in confusion for many a moment as he wondered exactly what she meant.

"I don't know what you mean, My Lady." He shifted, pushed clothing from his way to get a better view. A coat snagged on his sword and the Knight had to glance away from her and down to it to free the weapon without drawing it.

"Ah...it was just a joke..." Curses! Had her sense of humor really grown so rusty? Awkwardly she rubbed the back of her neck, trying to think of something else to say, when she noticed he was having a difficult time in the cramped closet. That was understandable, given how big he was.

"Here, I've got it," she offered, pushing the offending skirts and coats aside to free up the handle and pommel of his weapon. It was a splendid sword, that much was clear even if he hadn't drawn the sword from its scabbard.

Much as Orihime would have liked to give him his personal space, there wasn't really anywhere else for her to go. She bowed slightly, as much as the closet would allow. "I'm Orihime Inoue. It's nice to meet you."

It was not her sense of humor that was rusty, it was a time gap in their knowledge and form of humor that was to blame for this misunderstanding. Percival realized his mistake and his grin edged toward sheepish as he tried in his silent way to make up for what he had said.

"Thank you my Lady. Sir Percival, Knight of Camelot." He bowed as much as a cramped closet would allow. When he shifted he felt himself bump her. Percival did not think twice about reaching out to catch her if she stumbled, fingers curling her elbow just in case.

"Do you know of this seven minutes in heaven?" He would rather not die if that was okay with everyone. And this was definitely not a game from his generation.

"Ha ha...!" She was still a tiny bit embarrassed, but no longer self-conscious about it at least. He was smiling, so she could relax. As long as her efforts still resulted in amusement, she'd consider it a triumph.

Orihime did indeed stumble, but that was less due to the bump and more due to the fact that she was standing face to face with one of Camelot's most famous knights.

"F-for real?!" she gasped. Granted, she didn't know much about English folklore. She knew Arthur was the king, Merlin was the wizard, and Lancelot and Guinevere had a love affair. But beyond that, she only knew a couple of the others' names. She could scarcely believe her senses! But this island was just that kind of place, wasn't it?

She blinked at his question, then blinked again. Scarlet slowly crept over her face as she realized she was going to have to explain the rules of the game to someone who was probably chivalrous and chaste. Not exactly an ideal way to meet a knight, really.

"Er...well...how do I put it..." She rubbed the back of her head, glancing away in growing embarrassment. "It's a kissing game. Ah..." She tipped to the side to peer past his shoulder. Yup, that was what they had to do before they were allowed out of the closet. "I guess we have to kiss each other for seven minutes straight before the door will open."

Percival was a man of few words but he saw everything. His eye did not miss how she stumbled or the look in her eyes as she processed who he was. In Albion it was quite common to see a Knight of Camelot, something was amiss.

Then the chestnut haired beauty began to color, Percival was no fool nor an adolescent boy. He had seen that sort of flush before. He did not prod but instead let her tell him in her own way.

As she spoke his eyebrow went up, a kissing game? Kissing was not unpleasant, it was not as if he had never kissed. For seven minutes however sounded like something meant for a marriage.

"Seven minutes for certain?" He did not sound shocked or uncomfortable about it. It was a gentle request, he did not want to sully her reputation in any way. His own would with stand but his sense of right, honor and duty demanded he try to keep hers intact.

Orihime nodded. She was smiling, but she was intensely embarrassed for the both of them. He hadn't asked for this, and she certainly hadn't either. It definitely wasn't the way she thought her first kiss would be, but she'd already accepted this sort of eventuality the moment she'd learned why they were brought to the island.

Besides, if she had to kiss anybody, she was glad that it would be someone who seemed kind.

"Sorry," she said, her head bobbing in apology. "I know it isn't ideal. It's just that kind of place." She mistook his reluctance to mean that he just wasn't interested, and that was understandable. "We can sit down and wait to see if they change their minds, if you like."
